Overview
The CCM Tacks Classic Shin Guard is a great choice for the recreational player seeking performance-level protection and comfort without dipping too deep into the wallet. It offers a great fit and provides maximum coverage and protection for the casual hockey player thanks to the Anatomical Shield Design.
Compress-molded reinforced PE plastic provides great calf protection against slashes while the JDP molded plastic knee cap helps displace impact energy into the surrounding foam when taking a fall. It comes with a traditional strapping system that includes CCM's Hyper X Lock Strap for a comfortable and locked-in connection with the shin guard. Players can adjust the liner so their knee rests perfectly within the comfort donut, and also remove it completely after a game to reduce drying time.

Sizing Chart
GENERAL SHIN GUARD SIZING GUIDELINES | |
---|---|
Sitting at a 90-degree angle, measure from the bottom of your kneecap to the top of your foot parallel to your ankle and round to the nearest inch. This measurement equals your shin guard size when worn over the skate tongue. Correspond this measurement with the "Tongue In" column below. This is the most popular style since it offers more coverage and the best mobility. | |
If you prefer to wear the shin guard under the skate tongue, simply subtract 1" from your measurement, which equals going one pad size down. This style provides a lighter and lower-profile fit. |
